针对美国当前使用吗啡类止痛药泛滥的严重社会问题，美国NIH补充结合健康中心于2016年9月1日发布公告，介绍了非药物止痛疗法的研究情况，推荐用针灸、太极、瑜伽、气功、按摩等疗法治疗多种慢性疼痛，包括膝关节痛、腰痛、头痛、纤维肌痛等。同时也指出很多相关临床研究证据偏弱，结论尚不十分明确。美国NBC电视台和新闻在第一时间做了详细报道，并指出专家建议医疗保险应该报销有效的疗法。值得注意的是，这些非药物止痛疗法都属于“心身疗法”的范畴，针灸也不例外。不同的是，针灸疗法具有很强的特异性，可以用针直达病所或穴位，经验表明对一些急性疼痛也非常有效，可惜目前的临床研究报告还没有反映出这些特征，有待深入探讨。（李永明）

6 E( W! |$ a+ [- |" RNBC Nightly News (9/1, story 8, 1:45, Guthrie) reported that the National Institutes of Health on Thursday released the findings of a study examining opioid alternatives for chronic pain relief. NBC’s John Torres said the study found that “for those with arthritic knee pain, acupuncture and tai chi had the best results,” while massage therapy was most effective for relieving neck pain. “Not so effective, natural supplements like glucosamine and chondroitin,” Torres said, and added that “insurance companies don’t always pay for these therapies. Pain experts hope this study proves they do work and should be covered.”
        NBC News (9/1, Fox) reports that the review by researchers at the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, showed yoga and acupuncture are effective for treating back pain, tai chi and acupuncture for treating osteoarthritis of the knee, massage therapy for providing short-term relief for neck pain, and relaxation techniques for treating migraines and severe headaches.
